Established in 1980. A society for the development of arts and culture with Mavelikara as its centre of activities. It has proved to be the biggest family get-together in central Travancore. It used to have monthly programmes, like dramas by professional dramatic troupes, musical concerts both vocal and instrumental, ganamela, dance recitals like Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchuppudi, Kerala Natanam, Folk Dances, Thiruvathira and other group dances, Mimicry, Monoact, Kalarippayattu, Kathaprasangam, Magic performances, Kathakali, Western dance, Cinematic dance, Padayani etc… Also, we could arrange meetings where prominent orators and writers used to give talks. Almost all major artists from South India have performed on our stages. Apart from the monthly programmers, we had Onam, Christmas celebrations on a large scale, important get-together as well.

In the initial years it was published every month, later it became an annual souvenir with contributions from well known literary figures and members of Keli. This was eagerly awaited by the art loving people.
V P Sivakumar Memorial Keli Short Story Award, presented every year to the best short story published in Malayalam, consisting of a cash prize, a memento designed by Prof. V C John and a certificate.
